CURING

Though the refinished area can be used as normal after 12 hours, and your new finish will be fully cured in approximately 2 weeks. Normal usage after 12 hours will not hinder curing or damage the finish.

THEREFORE, Keep the surface open to the air to dry when not in use.

Do not set and leave mats, wet towels, soap, bottles, etc. on the surface, as that traps moisture and may alter uniform curing.

Any surface dust /lint in the final coat (dust bumps), if any, will fade and wear off with normal cleaning and usage in 3-4 weeks. This is normal and unavoidable without sterile ‘clean rooms’. Picking at these may create a void in the surface.

Leaking or dripping faucets must be repaired.

CLEANING

The best way to maintain your new surface is to wipe the dirt, soap, oils, etc. down after each use with a soft cloth. (Think of it like dishes) Use only non-abrasive liquid cleaners (Scrub Free, 409, Scrubbing Bubbles, Fantastic, etc.)

Do not use Abrasive Cleansers or Scouring Pads. Over time these will dull and scratch the surface. New bathtub manufacturers suggest this also.

RULE OF THUMB: If you wouldn’t use it on your new car, don’t use it on the finish!

MATS & ADHESIVE STRIPS

Use only bath or sink mats without individual suction cups! Remove after each use. Suction cup mats and adhesive strips will try to peel and lift the finish. Call us if you cannot find one, We can refer you to a specific one on Amazon.
